Eternal MMA caps off 2016 this Saturday night with a show at the Southport Sharks Club on the Gold Coast. A rematch between recently crowned Reign Fighting bantamweight champion Chris “Kewlbonez” Morris from Southside MMA Arena and Rings Toowoomba’s Matt “The Alabama Assassin” George will headline the event.
The pair first met way back in 2012 in the Fightworld Cup promotion where “Kewlbonez” walked away with a submission victory. In his most recent outing, Morris claimed the Reign Fighting title with a stoppage win against Regan Neoh in August.
In the co-main event, recently dethroned Eternal featherweight champion Garret Gross will be eager to bounce back against Fury MMA veteran Callum Lewis, who returns to competition from a lengthy hiatus. Lewis has been out of action since losing to undefeated Michael Tobin back in 2013 and no doubt will also be keen to get back on track come Saturday night.
