Earlier this month it was announced that Damien Brown and Benny Alloway had both signed exclusive contracts with U.K based Cage Warriors and an opponent for Brown (10-4) has now been confirmed with the Integrated MMA fighter travelling to Baghdad, Iraq to face French fighter Julien Boussuge at Cage Warriors 61.
Confirmation of the fight was revealed over the weekend by MMAJunkie.com.
After a small stint at featherweight where he most recently defeated New Zealand fighter Scott MacGregor, Brown will return back to the lightweight division. The Legend FC, Brace and Nitro veteran has won four of his last five fights which includes wins over the likes of Rob Hill and Haotian Wu.
Boussuge will bring a 9-3 record into the fight. After taking a break in 2012, Boussuge has fought twice in 2013, winning both fights via TKO. It will also be the French fighters first appearance in the Cage Warriors cage.
Cage Warriors has grown to be one of the leading promotions in Europe with events not being limited to Europe having held shows in the USA, Jordan, Lebanon and even places like Chechnya. This will be the promotions first event in Baghdad, Iraq with the event being headlined by Bruno Carvalho taking on Matt Inman in a welterweight clash.
Fellow Australian Ben Alloway is expected to make his return to Cage Warriors in the early portion of 2014.
