The UFC will return to Sydney on November 8. UFC president Dana White confirmed the date earlier today at the UFC 177 pre-fight scrum.
November 8 was rumored to be the promotion’s return date for Sydney, and as Fight News Australia revealed earlier today, it’s likely Anthony Perosh (14-8) will face Brazilian Guto Inocente (6-3) at the event.
White also revealed his plan to pit adopted Aussie Hector Lombard (34-4-1) against Tyron Woodley (14-3) in the main event of the upcoming Sydney show, however that fight looks unlikely at this point in time, with Woodley shooting down the idea of fighting his American Top Team team mate. Lombard on the other hand jumped at the opportunity to fight Woodley, according to White. The promotion will move forward with matching Lombard for the event, White went on to add.
