Streaming platform DAZN (pronounced ‘Da Zone’) has announced its intention to expand into over 200 countries including Australia.
DAZN is currently available in Austria, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.
The London based platform will expand internationally in time for boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez’s next bout, scheduled to take place on May 3 (AEST).
The company has made a significant dent in boxing and holds international rights to top promotional companies including Golden Boy, Matchroom Boxing USA, and GGG Promotions.
“Beginning this spring, most of the world will have access to DAZN and its unmatched schedule of boxing events,” DAZN Group Executive Chairman John Skipper said in a press release.
“Our roster of championship fighters represents some of the world’s most popular athletes and we’ll be working with them to stage spectacular international events for years to come,” he added.
Individual pricing for each market is scheduled to be announced in the coming weeks.
