New start Adelaide based promotion Diamondback Fighting Championship debuted on Sunday in the William Magarey room at the Adelaide Oval.
The sold out event featured a short-lived middleweight clash between hometown favorite Shane Mitchell and Queensland’s Matt Eland. It took Mitchell just 30 seconds to dispose of the visiting fighter and in the process made it two wins in a row after stopping Jeff King last year.
In the co-main event, Luke Howard proved too good on the night for Jasper Dunphy in the eyes of the judges, taking home a unanimous decision victory for his efforts.
Among other results from the night, ATT Sydney’s Raymart Quintana scored a quick-fire, one-punch KO against Kosta Masmanidis, needing only 10 seconds to end their lightweight encounter (see video below).
Ray Quintana – MMA Fighter earned his second professional victory with a knockout after just 10 seconds in the first round! His opponent had 28 pro Muay Thai fights too..
