Former UFC middleweight Dylan Andrews will make his return to competition when he rematches Papy Abedi at Superior Challenge 15 in April.
The event takes place April 1 at the Eriksdalshallen Recreation Venue in Stockholm, Sweden.
Andrews (15-7) has been out of action since losing to Brad Scott at UFC Fight Night Adelaide back in May 2015. The defeat marked the Gold Coast based Kiwi’s third straight and he was subsequently released from the promotion. The 37 year-old picked up two victories under the UFC banner, stopping Jimmy Quinlan and most recently his upcoming opponent Papy Abedi in 2013.
Andrews was originally slated to make his comeback against William Macário in November however the bout was canceled due to injury.
Abedi (10-3), who will have the hometown crowd behind him on the night, has fought once since the third round stoppage loss to Andrews, picking up a first round TKO over Cage Warriors veteran Bruno Carvalho late last year at Superior Challenge 14.
According to the promotion’s website the fight will be for the Superior Challenge middleweight title.
