Dan Hooker’s winning streak has come to an end.
Hooker took on the 5th ranked UFC lightweight Edson Barboza, eventually losing by TKO in the third round.
Barboza showcased why he is widely regarded as one of the best kickers in all of MMA as he continually kicked Hooker to the leg and midsection with devastating effect.

A perfectly timed spinning back kick from Barboza in the third-round saw Hooker hurt and the Brazilian followed it up with another body shot which dropped Hooker to the canvas.
Hooker showed amazing durability and toughness but it was still not enough. The TKO loss is the first time he has been finished in the UFC and brings his professional record to 17-8.
The win for Barboza snaps a two-fight losing skid and brings his professional record to 20-6.
