Judoka Duke Didier had adversity thrown in front of him ahead of his return to the cage last weekend but was able to walk away with the victory.
He headlined the Endouro Fight Series event, where he headlined the promotions debut event which took place at the Hellenic Club in Canberra.
After nearly 30-months on the sidelines, Didier walked away with the unanimous decision victory in a heavyweight bout against a dangerous David Taumoupeau. The victory moved Didier’s record to 8-1 but he wasn’t entirely happy with the performance.
“Probably my worst performance in a cage in Canberra, but still so grateful to be back in the cage and winning,” Didier wrote on social media following the event.
A fight between Ben Wall and Blake Donnelly was scrapped in the lead-up to the event.
