Eternal welterweight champion Jack Della Madallena (9-2) will get his shot on Dana White’s Contender Series later this year when he takes on USA based Swiss fighter Ange Loosa.
The match-up, which is scheduled for September 15 (AEST), was first reported by Cageside Press with a source confirming the news later to Fight News Australia.
Della’s pro career started on the wrong foot back in 2016, when he lost his first two professional bouts. Since then though, the Perth-based fighter has rebounded with nine wins on the trot and all coming via stoppage. He will look to make that 10 with a big statement in front of Dana White.
Expected to be standing in his way will be 27-year-old Ange Loosa who trains out of the highly acclaimed Sanford MMA in Florida, USA. He last fought back in April 2019 where he edged a split points decision against Collin Lubberts on the Titan FC 54 card. Prior to that, he suffered a split points decision loss on his LFA debut.
Season 5 of Dana White’s Contender Series is scheduled to run from September 1 to November 3.
