Western Australian welterweight Aldin Bates will come up against Damien Fraser tomorrow night in the main event of Eternal MMA 18 in what will be a number one contender’s bout for the Eternal welterweight title.
The event takes place at the WA Italian Club in Perth, Western Australia.
Formerly from the United Kingdom and now training at Mach1 Fight Club, Bates will be eager to impress as he headlines a card for the first time. In his three recorded Australian bouts, Bates has won all via stoppage with his last outing coming back in March at Eternal 15.
Training out of Infinity Martial Arts, Damien Fraser is coming off a loss to current Eternal welterweight champion Tristan Murphy, and is eager to get another shot at the title. Prior to that Fraser lost to the more experienced New Zealand fighter Luke Jumeau.
Meanwhile, Victoria’s Stephan Friedrich will meet Dean Abramo in a welterweight bout, while Ryan Robertson comes up against Richard Lockett from Evolution MMA & Fitness. Also on the card, local favourite Ryan Gray returns to action for the first time this year as he faces Nicko Flessas.
