Muay Thai fighter turned mixed martial artist, Myles Simpson returns to action on Saturday as he attempts to defend his Eternal featherweight title for the first time. Facing him will be Ryan Gray whom Simpson had defeated bak in November 2015.
Eternal 32 will take place at the Titanium Security Arena in Adelaide, South Australia on Saturday night. It’s the first time the promotion visits the state, having previously hosted events in Queensland and Western Australia.
Myles “M-16” Simpson is a former WMC state Muay Thai champion that made the transition to MMA in 2013. He has not looked back and quickly racked up the wins to start his career 6-0. He then came undone at the hands of Jesse Medina, who Simpson had previously defeated in his debut MMA bout. Simpsons rebounded with a first-round rear-naked choke submission over Ryan Gray and has gone 2-2 since then, including a featherweight title win against Garret Gross.
Training out of the MMA Clinic, Gray will be determined not to have a repeat of their first fight. He earned himself a shot at the title with a devastating knock-out over previous champion Garrett Gross back in April 2017 and brings a 7-3 MMA record.
Also on the card, local fighter Antonio Caruso is switching between professional boxing and MMA to keep himself busy. With a 4-1-1 boxing record, Caruso will be looking at making it 5-0 in MMA when he meets Dishon Ravindran from MMA 24/7 in Perth.
