Minotaur MMA 3 took place on Friday night at the Reggio Calabria Club in Parkville, Victoria. The main event saw Sydney ATT welterweight Saeid Fatahifar submit the previously unbeaten hometown favorite Kael Coster.
In the co-main event, New Zealand’s Kate Da Silva became the promotion’s new flyweight champion, dethroning Hera Tamati via a triangle choke submission with just seconds remaining in the third round.
Among other results from the night, hard-hitting ATT Sydney product Darwin Sagurit scored an impressive upset win over top Australian bantamweight Gustavo Falciroli. Sagurit, who is now enjoying a five-fight win streak, got the job done early in the clash by knockout.
A regular on the Australian circuit, New Zealand standout Shane Young improved to 8-2 by defeating the experienced Rodolfo Marques and earlier in the night Mildura’s Jesse Medina made it six in a row, submitting Tasmania’s Steve Maxwell by rear-naked choke.
A video replay of the event will be available in the coming week here at Go Fight Live.
