Former UFC fighter Cynthia Cavillo won a unanimous decision over Lisa Kyriacou in Melbourne on Saturday night, claiming the Hex flyweight title in the process.
It was Cavillo’s first bout since her UFC release, as she looks to reclaim the form that had her ranked as one of the best flyweight fighters inside the UFC. The win halts a five fight skid for the Las Vegas based fighter.
For Absolute MMA trained Kyriacou, her UFC asprirations take another hit having previously being edged out in a Road to the UFC contest back in May.
In the semi-main event, George Mangos successfully defended his featherweight title with an impressive stoppage over Justin Wilbraham. In his short professional career, the Lions Den Acadeny product has gone 5-0.
