The UFC has wasted no time in booking Israel Adesanya for his second UFC bout.
The promotion recently announced that the Nigerian born New Zealander will take on Italian fighter Marvin Vettori at UFC on FOX 29 in Glendale, Arizona.
Adesanya has been well known to fans across Australia and New Zealand for many years and recently announced himself to the world when he clinically dismantled Rob Wilkinson at UFC 221 in Perth. The win brought Adesenya’s professional MMA record to 12-0, with all his wins coming by knockout.
His opponent, Marvin Vettori (12-3-1) has had four fights in the UFC that includes two wins, a loss and a draw. Vettori took no time in throwing some shade at Adesanya, while also mistaking him for an Australian.
There's an Australian bum loud mouth, he thinks he is battle tested. I would love to give him his first loss#theitaliandream
