Following an impressive outing in Auckland on the weekend, American women’s strawweight J.J. Aldrich has entertained rescheduling her match-up with Sydney based Nadia Kassem for the November card rumoured to be taking place in Australia.
Aldrich dominated South Korean opponent Chan Mi Jeon, winning via unanimous decision on the UFC Fight Night 110 card and spoke to MMAJunkie about returning to this part of the world.
“I had a great time out here in New Zealand and I’ve heard there is a card out in Sydney. I would like to get on that card in November,” Aldrich answered in a post-fight interview posted online.
“The girl I was originally supposed to fight, Nadia (Kassem); she got hurt. That’s her home time in Australia so I would love to go and fight her in Sydney in November.”
Kassem (4-0) welcomed the fight when news of her injury was announced.
“If she wants to fight me specifically once I’m better I’m sure it can be arranged. I hope she knows I ain’t scared of her or any other strawweight,” Kassem told Fight News Australia.
