All five fights on today’s Dana White’s Contender Series event had a finish but thankfully for Jack Jenkins, he had done just enough to impress UFC boss Dana White and was awarded a UFC contract.
Jack Jenkins was dominant in his bout, earning a TKO finish in the third round of his bout against Emiliano Linares, cutting him open along the way with a slicing elbow.
However the Absolute MMA trained fighter may have been concerned with all fights ending in finishes, including two inside the first minute and heart would have been pounding as Dana White started his speech.
“My thing with Jack Jenkins tonight was that he looked like a one trick pony tonight.”
“He kept going to the ground. He absolutely dominated but the boys were telling that he is actually a great kickboxer. I didn’t see that.”
“Jimmy Crute thinks he is going to be a world champion. I saw him post that. He is on a 7 fight win streak. He did get the finish. It’s the last show of the year. On a night I might that I might not take him, I’m definitely taking him tonight,”
Along with Jenkins, Mateus Mendonca, Rafael Estevam, Sam Petterson, and Bo Nickal were all awarded contracts following today’s event.
A former Eternal and Rogue MMA champion, Jack Jenkins is riding a 7-fight win streak.
The event, which was the final one for 2022, was broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass and ESPN
