Australian welterweight Jake Matthews is set to fight at UFC 291 in Utah at the end of July, the UFC announced today via social media.
Matthews is booked to take on American fighter Miguel Baeza.

Baeza is currently on a three-fight losing streak, his last fight being a TKO loss to Andre Fialho over a year ago in April, 2022.
Matthews last stepped into the octagon at the end of 2022, losing a unanimous decision to Matthew Semelsberger at UFC Fight night: Cannonier vs Strickland.
Matthews currently holds a professional MMA record of 18-6, and Baeza’s sits at 10-3.
UFC 291 is set to be held in Salt Lake City in the US, and is going to be headlined by lightweights Dustin Poirier and Justin Geathje as the two fight for the BMF title, the second time in UFC history the BMF title is up for grabs.
