Rising Aussie prospect Jake Matthews will join Anton Zafir on the TUF 23 finale card on July 8 in Las Vegas.
The UFC officially announced the lightweight bout yesterday which sees Matthews paired against Scottish fighter Stevie Ray.
Ray is riding a three fight win streak and is undefeated in the octagon since making his debut last year. He earned himself a Performance of the Night bonus with a first round KO of Leonardo Mafra and is also a former Cage Warriors and BAMMA champion.
The step up in competition for the ‘Celtic Kid’ comes off the back of his own string of consecutive wins, his most recent coming over Johnny Case at UFC Brisbane, taking him to 4-1 with the UFC.
With the addition, the TUF 23 Finale card now includes:
