It was a rough UFC debut for previously undefeated Joshua Culibao.
Jalin Turner stopped the Australian lightweight via TKO at UFC Auckland, held at Spark Arena on Sunday, February 23.
After surviving a guillotine attempt by Turner in the first round, Culibao appeared to have twisted an ankle circling the cage early in round two and found himself in the same predicament. “The Tarantula” managed to get Culibao’s back, flattening him out and unloading a barrage of punches until the referee stepped in at 3:01.

It was Culibao’s first professional loss; his record now 8-1. While Turner (9-5), who stopped fellow Australian Callan Potter in his UFC debut, picks up his second UFC win, rebounding from a unanimous decision loss in April last year.
