After having his bout cancelled against Nasrat Haqparast, Jamie Mullarkey is back on the card for UFC 284 and is set to fight Francisco Prado, an Argentinean fighter, on February 12th.
Fight Night Australia has confirmed the matchup on their Instagram page.
Hailing from the Central Coast, Mullarkey’s going to show that there are levels to this game and give a rude welcome to the young Argentinean fighter making his UFC debut.
Receiving ‘Fight of the Night’ honours in his recent bout against Michael Johnson early last year, the Aussie was able to pull off an exciting split-decision victory in an all-out war. Prior to this bout, the Central Coast native suffered a TKO Loss to Jalin Turner at UFC 272, snapping a two-fight winning streak.
With the UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski preparing for his upcoming bout against Islam Makhachev, Mullarkey has sought the opportunity to train with some of the best fighters and coaches in the world. Having such high-level coaching and training for Mullarkey is sure to help the Central Coast native improve his skillset and put together another dominant winning streak.
Mullarkey currently holds a professional record of 15-5.
Prado is a young undefeated prospect and will be looking to make a finishing statement in his UFC debut against ‘The Hooligan.’ Prado will be coming into this bout with an 11-fight winning streak consisting of 6 submissions and 5 KO/TKO victories. He currently holds an impressive professional record of 11-0.
