Two time TUF contestant Jesse “JT Money” Taylor will take on Belal Muhammad at UFC Sydney in a welterweight bout.
UFC officials confirmed the match-up to Fight News Australia after the fighters previously announced the match-up via social media.
After being thrown out of The Ultimate Fighter Season 7 finale, Jesse Taylor got his redemption on Season 25, winning the tournament to earn his way back into the UFC. Since losing a lone bout in the UFC back in 2008 to C.B. Dollaway, the 34-year-old spent the last nine years travelling and fighting around the world, which included five fights in Australia. He comes into the contest with an experienced 31-15 record, with his last win being on TUF 25 finale against Dhiego Lima.
Muhammad will come into the contest winning three of his past four bouts including a decision victory over Jordan Mein at UFC 213. Since making his debut for the promotion back in July 2016, the 29-year-old has been active, fighting five times for a record of 3-2. His career record stands at 12-2.
UFC Fight Night 121 will take place at the Qudos Arena in Sydney on Sunday, November 19 and will be headlined by local heavyweight Mark Hunt taking on Polish fighter Marcin Tybura.
