Following last week’s announcement that Luke Morris will take on Shannon Ross in a flyweight title, Nitro yesterday confirmed that their former light-heavyweight champion Joe “Massacre” Muir will meet Ben Kelleher in a middleweight bout on the card.
Both are known for their heavy hitting and will be looking at getting their MMA careers back on track. Muir was last in action back in February of 2016, where he suffered a knockout loss to Shaw Dean. Meanwhile, Kelleher had his last MMA fight back in January, stepping up on less than 24-hours notice, in a loss to former UFC fighter Steven Kennedy. The Brisbane based fighter has also been active in boxing and kickboxing bouts.
The promotion, which has been on the sidelines for over two years, will return to the Logan Entertainment Centre on June 10 with Nitro 14 – Reloaded.
