A women’s strawweight bout will headline Aftershock 27 this weekend with Gladstone born youngster Kaela Banney headlining a card for the first time.
Banney, 19, returns to the cage for the first time in over 24-months as she faces an little known international opponent, Ibu Takamura.
According to the promotion, Takamura brings a 2-1 amateur record and will be travelling to Australia with women’s pioneer Megumi Fujii.
The event which apart from the main event, will feature amateur bouts, takes place at the Royal International Convention Centre near the Brisbane CBD.
