Veteran Australian UFC fighter Kyle Noke will face off against Japanese fighter Keita Nakamura at UFC Fight Night 91 in a welterweight contest.
The fight was announced via Brisbane Times for the event which will take place in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA on July 13 (July 14 in Australia).
A veteran of over thirty professional bouts spanning close to fourteen years, 36 year-old Noke will be looking to rebound after suffering a controversial split points decision loss to Alex Morono earlier this year at UFC 195. Prior to that Noke scored a spectacular performance of the night knockout over Polish Peter Sobotta.
Thirty-one year-old Nakamura returned to the UFC last year for the second time after an unsuccessful spell back in 2007/2008 which saw him lose all three bouts. Nakamura did score a win in his return back in September 2015, submitting Chinese fighter Jingliang Li however lost a unanimous decision to Tom Breese in his most recent outing back in February this year.
It’s the first match-up announced for the card with the UFC visiting South Dakota for the first time.
Expect Brisbane based flyweight Ben Nguyen to also be announced on the card. The 27-year-old, who recently entered the UFC top-15 rankings, is born and raised in Sioux Falls and no doubt will be eager to get on the lineup.
