Although officially not announced, it is widely reported that the The Ultimate Fighter: Nations – Australia vs Canada finale will be held on April 16 in Quebec City, in Canada.
A clash between middleweight fighters Tim Kennedy and Michael Bisping is set to headline the event providing that 34 year-old Bisping gets clearance from the physician due to his ongoing eye injury.
The orbital injury has kept Bisping on the sidelines since April 2013, where the Manchester based fighter won a technical decision after his opponent Alan Belcher became the victim of an accidental eye poke late in the third round. Kennedy will be looking at making it 3-0 in the UFC with the Jackson’s MMA trained fighter coming off a November KO win over Rafael Natal.
In a battle of TUF Nations coaches, Australian Kyle Noke will face-off against veteran Canadian coach Patrick Cote in what is expected to be the co-main event. Noke last fought in September 2012 where he stopped Charlie Brenneman with punches early in the first round. Cote is coming off a March 2013 decision win over Bobby Voekler.
The only confirmed match-up for the card is a bantamweight fight between Mitch Gagnon and Tim Gorman. The event will also host the finale bouts of The Ultimate Fighter – Australia vs Canada season in both the welterweight and middleweight divisions.
