Tim Tszyu threw everything he had at Takeshi Inoue but couldn’t put him away, calling him a ‘brick wall’ in his post-fight interview. Tszyu opened up to the body and heard his opponent squeal through the contest. Despite his toughness, Inoue never looked like taking the bout with Tszyu unanimously taking it on the judges’ cards 120-107, 119-109, and 120-107.
Tszyu now moves to a perfect 20-0 while Inoue drops to 17-2, 1 draw.
“It was a great experience. The guy is built like a brick wall. You f**king hit him with anything and he doesn’t go down,” Tszyu commented post-fight.
“I don’t think heavyweights could drop him. He is literally a brick wall. Hands up to him. He is a bloody warrior,” he added as Inoue walked out of the arena to a round of applause.
“He kept coming. I hit him with everything. He is so durable. He didn’t really hit me with anything clean. I was in cruise control in all honesty. I felt him heard a few times but I didn’t want to jump too much on the pedal because I knew that every time I hit him, there was no reaction.”
Tszyu has a message to Brian Castaño and the rest of the international contenders.
You boys finish your little honeymoons and get back in the gym and start training. I’m coming for you. Every single one of you.
