Luke Jumeau lost a split decision to Dhiego Lima in a welterweight contest on the main card of UFC 243, held at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on Sunday, October 6.
Despite one judge awarding the New Zealander a 29-28 scorecard, it was Brazil’s Lima who dominated the majority of the fight. Calf kicks were the most significant technique of the bout. Reddening Jumeau’s lead leg early, Lima neutralised much of his offence and was able to managed to score a few takedowns.
