Australian Martin ‘The Situ-Asian’ Nguyen defended his One Championship Featherweight title this Friday night, in Manila, Philippines.
Nguyen finished his Japanese opponent Koyomi Matsushima with punches in the second round.
The Australian seemed to struggle early on finding his distance against the Karate fighter, in the first.
Though, in the second, Nguyen looked visibly more confident seemingly finding his rhythm and landing some big shots that stunned Matsushima early.
The Aussie followed Matsushima around the cage before stuffing a takedown from the Japanese fighter that ended with both fighters on the ground and Nguyen on top. From there ‘The Situ-Asian’ made quick work of his opponent, ending the fight with ground and pound.
