Arizona based Australian Matthew Frincu secured a dominant win over Kris Hocum on the Legacy Fighting Alliance 5 card.
The card which took place on Friday night (Saturday in Australia) was held at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado and was broadcast live in North America on AXS TV.
What made the win even more impressive was that Frincu took the fight on three weeks notice and was eager to get one over his opponent after Hocum weighed in three pounds heavy for their welterweight bout.
It was Frincu’s first bout in the promotion and he impressed, showcasing superior stand-up skills en-route to unanimous decision win. The win moves Frincu’s record to 10-2.
In the main event, Adam Townsend survived and early onslaught before defeating Marcus Edwards by TKO in the third round.
