Arizona based welterweight Matthew Frincu has had a new opponent announced with the Aussie now facing Brazilian Maycon Mendonca in the headline fight at Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) 11 on Friday night (Saturday in Australia).
The 23-year-old was originally set to face Daniel Madrid, however the American was forced to withdraw due to an undisclosed injury suffered in the final days of fight prep.
Mendonca was already scheduled for the card, originally set to face Frincu’s teammate Kyle Stewart. Stewart also stays on the card taking on Ty Freeman. Mendonca lost his debut fight back in 2013 however has been unstoppable since then, wracking up six wins on the trot. It will be his first fight outside of his native Brazil.
