Formerly from the Gold Coast and now basing himself out of Arizona Combat Sports academy, Matthew Frincu has finished the year strongly winning a pair of bouts on regional shows in North America within the span of three weeks.
Frincu fought on King of the Cage: Desert Reign show on November 26, where he submitted Bellator fighter Dano Marcus Moore in the first-round via a triangle choke.
The 23-year-old backed that up on the weekend at Iron Boy MMA 4, stopping Freddie Contreras. Frincu dropped his opponent with a strong straight left midway through the first round, before repeating it late in the round to get the stoppage.
Since relocating to Arizona, Frincu has gone 5-1 with his lone loss coming at the hands of Abubakar Nurmagomedov, the cousin of UFC contender Khabib Nurmagomedov.
