The bout came out on top in the latest ‘Social Content’ Ratings compiled by Neilsen’s with the superfight scoring 1.4m interactions. This is nearly 1.2m more than it’s nearest rival, the Bledisloe Cup Rugby match between Australia and New Zealand which had just over 209,000 interactions.

While exact figures are not released in Australia, The Courier Mail has reported that the pay-per-view was the second highest in history for Foxel and Mainevent. It is only eclipsed by the 2006 grudge match between Anthony Mundine and Danny Green.
It must also be mentioned that Foxtel was one of three distributors for the event with fans also being able to purchase it via UFC Fight Pass. The UFC has offered refunds for UFC Fight Pass customers effected the streaming issues experienced during the event.
