Australian Megan Anderson has had her next opponent announced with the 26-year-old to face Peggy Morgan at Invicta FC 18 in a featherweight contest.
The event takes place at the Kansas City Scottish Rite Temple in Missouri, USA on 30 July (31 July in Australia). It will be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass.
Formerly out of the Gold Coast, Anderson now trains in the mid-west of America at Glory MMA & Fitness under UFC fighter James Krause. It will the fourth bout in Invicta FC for Anderson (6-2 MMA, 2-1 Invicta FC) who lost back in September 2015 to Cindy Dandois. Since then, Anderson has won back-to-back via TKO against Amber Leibrock and Amanda Bell.
Morgan (4-3 MMA, Invicta 1-2) will be hoping to put back-to-back wins on the board for the first time since making her professional debut. A contestant on season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter, Morgan progressed into the house but lost to Sarah Moras in the opening round. Morgan then came against Jessamyn Duke on the finale card but went down via unanimous decision. She last competed back in August last year, where she defeated Jessy Miele on a regional promotion.
Invicta FC 18 will be headlined by undefeated strawweight Alexa Grasso (7-0 MMA, 3-0 Invicta FC) coming up against Jodie Esquibel (5-1 MMA, 3-1 Invicta FC).
