Australian Michael Tobin will make his Absolute Championship Berkut (ACB) debut next month where he will face undefeated Dean Garnett in a featherweight clash.
The event, ACB 54 “Supersonic”, will take place in Manchester, England on March 11.
“The Great White” Tobin (12-0) has been testing his skills over in Albuquerque, New Mexico training at the Jackson Wink MMA academy. When back home on the Gold Coast, the Judo black-belt splits his training sessions between UFC fighter Ben Alloway and BJJ coach Vicente Cavalcanti.
In his 12-fight career, Tobin has gone to a decision only once with 11 of his 12 wins have come via submission – 10 of them in the first round.
Tobin signed a four-fight contract with Absolute Championship Berkut last month.
Garnett (7-0-1), will also be making his promotion debut in ACB. The 28-year-old has previously fought in Cage Warriors and in his last outing fought in Bellator back in July. That bout against Brazilian fighter Luiz Henrique Tosta ended in a draw.
The event will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Luke Barnatt and Mamed Khalidov.
