City Kickboxing fighter Navajo Stirling will join his teammate Aaron Tau in participating in the next season of Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS), where he will look to impress the UFC President Dana White and earn a UFC contract
A former kickboxer and Muay Thai fighter, Stirling has been on a roll winning all four fights in MMA, including wins against Kelvin Fitial, Stu Dare and most recently Sam Kei for the Hex light-heavyweight title.
Fights on Dana White’s Contender Series fight in front of UFC president, who is then given the task of choosing which fighters have earned themselves a contract to the big show.
The likes of Sean O’Malley, Jamahal Hill as well as local fighters Jack Della Maddalena and Jack Jenkins all got their start on DWCS.
Season 8 is set to have an Australian/New Zealand flavour to it, as Aaran Tau & Navajo Stirling join Aussie fighters Cody Haddon and Quillan Salkilld as participants on the upcoming season.
Stirling announced the news via social media and has indicated he will appear on week 7 of the show, being September 25 (AEST).
