Australian Elliot “The Dragon” Compton stepped up for the biggest fight of his career when he took on Nieky Holzken on the One Championship card contested under the promotions kickboxing rules.
It would however be a short night in the office for Compton who, for the first 90-seconds at least, looked up to the task, staying aggressive and keeping Holzken on his toes. That all changed in the blink of an eye though, as Holzken unloaded with a big left hook, to the liver that which instantly dropped Compton.
In pain, Compton failed to beat the count and the contest was called only 1:36 into the first round.
The event, Big Bang, took place on Friday 4 December but due to broadcasting and contract obligations, the result was kept private until it was broadcast as Big Bang II on Friday, 11 December.
In the main event, Jonathan Haggerty won a unanimous decision over Japanese flyweight Taiki Natio in Muay Thai bout.
