Hex Fight Series returns for it’s fourth installment this Saturday, October 31 and will take place at local fight venue the Melbourne Pavilion.
The ten-fight card will feature local fighters and six international competitors from around the globe with a bout between two international fighters headlining the card.
American JJ “Superman” Ambrose fighting out of Phuket Top Team will come up against Spaniard Oriol Gaset, whom is fighting out of CFC Esplugues gym. Gaset is no newcomer on the Australian circuit having spent time in 2012-2013 training at KMA Top Team. During that time he fought four times, defeating Nick Patterson, Jacob Pettett, Greg Atzori and Sonny Brown.
This will be Ambrose’s first time fighting in Australia, but he is well versed competing internationally, having fought across Asia and the middle-east.
In the co-main event, hometown favourite Nick “Banjo” Patterson will have a shot at redemption as he takes on Abel Brites in a rematch. This time the match will take place at a heavier weight in the welterweight division. Brites won in the first outing by a fourth round guillotine earlier in the year at Hex Fight Series 3.
Also on the card, highly touted bantamweight Gustavo Falciroli will be looking for his second win of the year when he takes on Pancrase veteran Hikaru Hasumi. Former Nova Uniao trained Rodolfo Marques has a match against American Alvin Cacdac, while Victorian based French fighter Raphael Berthet returns to the promotion when he contests American Raja Shippen.
If you can’t make it down to the Melbourne Pavilion on the night, you can catch the live stream on the Fight News Australia live Fights Page for US$16.99.
