‘The Chief’ Peter Graham (10-8) returns to action this weekend in Poland at KSW 31. The Aussie heavyweight will take on the promotion’s heavyweight champion Karol Bedorf (11-2) in what will be a non-title fight.
Headlined by a middleweight title fight between defending champion Michal Materla (21-4) and title challenger Tomasz Drwal (21-4-1), KSW 31 will take place at the Ergo Arena in Gdańsk Poland in the early hours of Sunday morning in Australia. The event will be broadcast live via the promotion’s website for US$12.00.
This fight will be Graham’s second for the promotion, after the former Bellator fighter won a TKO at KSW 28 in October, due to his opponent, Marcin Rozalski, suffering a knee injury. The thirty-nine year-old K-1 veteran went on to face Denis Goltsov at Russia’s Tech-Krep FC event in April, however was submitted in the second period. The loss outside the promotion forced the KSW brass to make Graham’s fight with Bedorf a non-title fight. A win over the heavyweight champ for the Aussie this weekend, however, will no doubt call for an immediate rematch for the championship crown.
His opponent, hometown favorite Karol Bedorf, will ride into his tenth promotional appearance on an impressive five-fight win streak. Most recently, the 31 year-old TKO’d Rolles Gracie at KSW 28.
Also slated for the night is a heavyweight tilt between five-time world’s strongest man title winner Mariusz Pudzianowski (8-3-0) and one-time UFC fighter, and One Championship veteran Rolles Gracie (8-3-0).
