In what is set to be a battle of K-1 veterans, Australian fighter Peter Graham (9-6) and Samoan born Siala-Mou Siliga (Mighty Mo) (5-2) will collide in the opening round of Bellator’s heavyweight tournament on March 7 at Bellator 111.
The other first round matchups for the heavyweight tournament will be Blagoi Ivanov vs Rich Hale, Alexander Volkov vs Mark Holata, and Ryan Martinez vs Lavar Johnson. The event will be headlined by a bantamweight title fight between reigning champion Eduardo Dantas and bantamweight tournament winner Rafael Silvain.
Following his Signing with the promotion back in mid 2013, Graham, 38, put in a dominate striking performance against American giant, Eric Prindle, on his way to a unanimous points decision win at Bellator 104. He later faced Cheick Kongo at Bellator 107, in a fight which the Aussie stepped up for on just 2 weeks notice, and was unanimously outpointed by the UFC veteran.
Graham will look to get back on track against the 43 year-old Mighty Mo, who trains out of the Elite MMA Academy in Santa Fe Springs, California, and is currently undefeated in the promotion after 2 appearances in 2013. A TKO win over Dan Charles marked his promotional debut at Bellator 100, before later submitting Ron Sparks at Bellator 105. His 2 MMA losses to date, have come at the hands of former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett and Dutch kickboxing veteran Semmy Schilt.
Both men boast lengthy kickboxing backgrounds with Graham holding a 57-11 record while Mighty Mo’s record stands at 20-19.
