The Ultimate Fighter: Australia vs. Canada series is set to begin this Thursday on cable channel FX Australia. It is the second season to feature an Australian team following the success of ‘TUF Smashes’ in 2012.
Coaches for this season will be Australian Kyle Noke and 14-fight UFC veteran Patrick Cote.
The series was officially confirmed in mid 2013 with try-outs occurring during the month of September in both Toronto and Sydney where four welterweight and four middleweight fighters were selected for both teams.
Australia:
Welterweight – Chris Indich, Jake Matthews, Brendan O’Reilly, Richard Walsh
Middleweight – Vik Grujic, Daniel Kelly, Tyler Manawaroa, Zein Saliba
Canada:
Welterweight – Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Matthew Desroches, Kajan Johnson, Chad Laprise
Middleweight – Luke Harris, Nordine Taleb, Elias Theodorou, Sheldon Westcott
The season starts this Thursday on FX Australia at 4:30pm AEDT.
