Sydney based fighter Richie Vaculik will now face Irish fighter Neil Seery on the UFC Fight Night 55 event, scheduled to take place in Sydney on November 8.
UFC officials confirmed the match-up earlier today. Vaculik was previously set to take on Ray Borg on the card.
Thirty-one year-old Vaculik brings a 10-2 career record into the fight and is coming off a tough decision win over Roldan Sancha’an at the UFC Fight Night event held in New Zealand back in June. Prior to that, the big wave surfer lost to Justin Scoggins back in December in what was his UFC debut after previously appearing on The Ultimate Fighter Smashes series.
After some impressive performances in Cage Warriors, Neil Seery got his UFC call-up back in March where he lost a unanimous decision to Brad Pickett. He rebounded in July, in front of his home-crowd, when he defeated Phil Harris via unanimous decision to take his career record to 14-10.
The event will take place at the Allphones Arena in Sydney and will be headlined by a middleweight clash between Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold.
