Brace Promotions have announced two further fights for their Brace 20 event scheduled to be held at the Broncos Leagues Club on Saturday, 25 May, 2013.
Most notably, former leading lightweight Rob Hill (11-8) will be looking at getting his career back on track when he comes up against Sam Bastin (4-5), while Bastin’s team-mate Arlene Blencowe (0-1) returns for her second MMA fight against Brisbane based Kerry Barrett (1-0).
The promotion announced the fights via social media earlier today.
Hill has notable victories over Ian Schaffa, Bernardo Magalhaes and Yusuke Kasuya however is currently without a win in his last three bouts with notable losses to Koji Ando & Koji Oishi on the Legend FC promotion, before returning back to local shores and losing a unanimous decision to Damien Brown. Port Macquarie based Sam Bastin looked impressive en route to a first-round knockout over Jason Preece at Fightworld Cup last weekend and also notable defeated Callum Lewis back in June at Fury MMA.
Blencowe will be looking for her first MMA victory after the former boxer lost to Kyra Purcell at last weekend’s Fightworld Cup event. Blencowe looked dangerous early, and had Purcell rocked before getting caught in a second-round armbar submission. Her opponent Kerry Barrett from the Gamebred Gym will have her second bout inside the Brace card after winning a unanimous decision over Brettlyn Neal back at the Brace girls event.
As previously announced, the event will be headlined by Chris Lokteff taking on Andrew Machin, while in a lightweight bout Greg Atzori meets former Brace Lightweight champion Sonny Brown.
