Undefeated Tasmanian Rob Wilkinson will now face undefeated German Alex Poppeck at European Fighting Challenge 1 next month. Poppeck replaces Steven Cnudde of Belgium, who has withdrawn from the matchup due to personal reasons.
The event takes place on October 1 at the Metro Areena in Espoo, Finland, and will be streamed live at flocombat.com.
Rob “Razor” Wilkinson is 9-0 in his MMA career and has finished all of his opponents within the distance. In his last outing, the 24 year-old stopped Jamie Abdallah in a crowd-pleasing battle to take home the AFC middleweight title.
Twenty-four year old Poppeck (7-0) (pictured right), who has a background in kickboxing and Muay Thai, made his pro MMA debut in 2013 and remains undefeated after seven fights on European based promotions. His most recent fight took place just last month in Austria, where he outpointed Alexander Takacs (0-2).
In the main event of the evening, former UFC fighters Tom Niinimäki and Johnny Bedford will square off at featherweight.
