Rob Lisita will make his One Championship return at the promotion’s “Kings and Conquerors” event in August. “Ruthless” will come up against Thailand’s Shannon Wiratchai as the Aussie looks to snap a four-fight losing streak.
One: Kings and Conquerors takes place at Cotai Arena in Macao, China on Saturday August 5. The show’s headliner will see bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes take on top contender Andrew Leone.
It’s been a rough three years inside the cage for Lisita (15-9). The Sydney based fighter has not tasted victory since he dispatched Yusuke Kawanago in just 28 seconds back in 2014, an impressive result on the night which made it five wins in a row for the entertaining power striker. Most recently the 34 year-old found himself on the wrong side of the judges’ scorecards against former title challenger Ev Ting in September last year.
Lisita will be eager to make a statement against Thailand’s Shannon Wiratchai (7-1). “One Shin” will ride a five-fight win streak into what will be his eighth appearance for the promotion. A product of the Bangkok Fight Lab the 28 year-old unorthodox striker is coming off a first round TKO against Richard Corminal earlier in the year.
