Australian Muay Thai star Tyson Harrison will return the ONE Friday Fights ring on June 28.
“John Wayne Noi” announced via his Instagram that he will face Thailand’s Sibmuen Coach Nay in a bantamweight Muay Thai contest at the stacked ONE Friday Fights 68 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
“Finally. My purpose is back! Bring on June 28th,” he wrote on Instagram.
The Queenslander has been recovering from a hand injury suffered in his most recent fight, a first-round TKO defeat to Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai in September.
Harrison, who lives and trains at Tor Sangtiennoi Gym in Bangkok, engaged in some of the most memorable battles of 2023 since making his debut under the ONE banner in January of that year.
The 23-year-old has amassed a 2-3 record on the Friday Fights platform, while facing top-level competition such as Kulabdam, Seksan Or Kwanmuang, and Rambo Mor Rattanabandit.
Sibmuen is a two-time former Rajadamnern Stadium champion in his native Thailand.
The 29-year-old made his ONE debut in September, in which he suffered a first-round TKO to Portuguese fighter Miguel Trindade.
ONE Friday Fights 68 is slated to be a “tentpole” event for the promotion, with a slew of its top Muay Thai stars slated to appear on the card.
In the main event, former ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Di Bella will attempt to reclaim the belt that he lost on the scales, when he faces strawweight Muay Thai divisional king Prajanchai PK Saenchai.
The full June 28 fight card is still to be announced.
