Tai Tuivasa did what everyone wanted him to do, knocking out Greg Hardy in the first round.
Competing on the main card of UFC 264, the Western Sydney-based fighter entertained the crowd, walking out to the octagon to Spice Girls before standing toe-to-toe with Hardy. In the opening seconds, Hardy pointed to the middle of the cage and encouraged Tuivasa to exchange. Tuivasa obliged.
Hardy connected with a right that seemed to unbalance Tuivasa momentarily. Hardy was too over-eager in his chase as Tuivasa returned with a left that immediately dropped Hardy. The referee straight away rushed in to stop the contest, not before Tuivasa landed a pair of hammer-fists.
