UFC 284 in Perth has recently added another Steller matchup.
Jamie ‘The Hooligan’ Mullarkey [15-5], will take on German fighter Nasrat Haqparast [14-5] at the event slated for RAC Arena in Perth, on February 11th.
Mullarkey will be confident of getting onto another winning streak, after coming off an exciting split decision win against Micheal Johnson at UFC Vegas 58 earlier this year, in a bout where he was awarded ‘Fight of the Night’ honours. Prior to this bout, the Central Coast bred fighter suffered a TKO Loss to Jalin Turner at UFC 272, shaping a two-fight winning run
Mullarkey has been training with the UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and the team from Freestyle MMA in an attempt to separate himself from other lightweight contenders in the division. Having such high-level coaching and training for Mullarkey is sure to help the Central Coast native put together another winning streak.
Haqparast is coming off a split decision win over John Makdessi in UFC Paris this past September. Before that, he had fallen short on two occasions, including to New Zealand’s Dan Hooker.
