Jimmy Crute secured a first-round submission against Michal Oleksiejczuk at UFC Auckland, held at Spark Arena on Sunday, February 23.
Coming off the solitary loss of his career, the Aussie light heavyweight rebounded in dominant fashion in the co-main event.
Crute, now 11-1, had a smothering, relentless wrestling offence which earned him seven takedowns. He finally snatched a kimura, ending the fight at 3:29 of round one.

When asked what’s next, “The Brute” answered UFC commentator Dan Hardy with the only man to defeat him.
“Misha Cirkunov, I’m comin’ for you brother.”
Marcos Rogerio de Lima made short work of Melbourne’s Ben Sosoli, getting the knockout victory at 1:28 of the first round. The Brazilian came out swinging from the opening bell, landing some hard, clean blows. Ultimately, it was a three-piece combination which set Sosoli down to end the fight.
