What started out as a war of words between Ross Pearson (18-10) and Abel Trujillo (13-7) has resulted in the two lightweights booking a date at UFC Brisbane on 20th March at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
Pearson, who is coming off a unanimous decision loss at UFC Boston earlier this month was keen to make amends and Trujillo it seems was more than happy to oblige, the fight formally confirmed via the UFC Australia twitter late last night.
Despite a rollercoaster career, Pearson has proved himself to be an exciting striker and he’ll look to keep the fight standing against the well-rounded Abel Trujillo in what is a great addition to the UFC Brisbane card.
The event, which is headlined by Mark Hunt vs Frank Mir, will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 in the United States, Fox Sports 3 in Australia and SKY TV in New Zealand. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, February 4 at 10 a.m. AEST and are priced at $350, $250, $150, $95 and $50 AUD through ticketek.com.au.
