Defending his middleweight title, Isi Fitikefu continued his impressive run on the local scene after securing a second round stoppage over Josh Della at Eternal 31 to remain undefeated in his pro career. Also on the card it was better news for Josh’s brother Jack Della as he successfully defended his welterweight title against Luke Howard.
The event took place at the WA Italian Club in Perth, Western Australia on Saturday night.
A training partner of UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker, Isi Fitikefu was defending his title for the first time and ultimately secured a second round TKO with strikes, in particular elbows against the cage that opened up cuts, securing Fitikefu the win. Fitikefu moves to 4-0 with the win while Josh Della loses for the first time in four fights to drop to 4-2.
Coming off a win in U.K promotion Cage Warriors, Jack Della was again victorious in the co-main event with a win against Bali MMA fighter Luke Howard. After a fun back-and-forth contest in the first-round, Della capitalised landing a knock-out punch only 28-seconds into the second round. The win, which was his fifth in a row, takes Della’s record to 5-2 while Howard drops to 4-3.
